Effects of Intra-Vitreal Diclofenac in Refractory Diabetic Macular Edema

Objectives: To see the effects of Intra-Vitreal Diclofenac injection (IVD) in refractory Diabetic Macular Edema (DME).
 Study Design: Quasi-experimental study.
 Place and Duration Study: Retina Clinic, Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital, Rawalpindi Pakistan from Sep 2019 to Feb 2020.
 Methodology: Patients included study having Clinically Significant (CSME) with Central Thickness (CMT) more than 300 microns not responding three consecutive Intravitreal injections Bevacizumab (IVB).Intravitreal (500μg/0.1 ml) was given by same retina fellow protocol across all patients.Each patient evaluated based on before intravitreal followup visits one week month after injection.
 Results: A total 30 patients (30 eyes) were study. Out these, 11 females, 19 males. The mean age 57.87±4.424 years. Mean 439.67±110.45µm, 398.47±110.55µm 384.87±119.11µm intra-vitreal injection. Pre post-injection central macular thickness (µm), which clinically significant (p-value <0.001).
 Conclusion: is effective diabetic oedema, antiVEGF (IVB) injections.
